Franchisee, Frank Monger heads to Fiji
20 May 2010
South East SA & Western Victoria MSP Franchisee, Frank Monger recently travelled to Fiji working on a Rotary Project.
Frank tells the story...
"I am a member of the Rotary Club of Mt Gambier West in Mt Gambier South Australia. Recently several members of our club raised substantial funds towards a project to build an Ablutions Block for the new school at Waibogi (Navua River).
Several members from our club flew to Fiji, travelled up to Waibogi & stayed in the village for 10 days & with the help of a local builder & the village men constructed an ablutions block for the school.
The project involved about 2 yrs planning & six months of fundraising to raise the $11,000 fj necessary to purchase the building materials, transport to the site & employ a local tradesman to oversee the construction.
Three members of our club travelled to Waibogi, Team Leader Frank Monger, Adrian Jameson & Karen Leslie.
The photo on the right is of the main people taken just prior to our departure back to Australia showing the almost finished block in the background."
