In addition to this sponsorship we provide $5,000 towards the MSP and SAPPA Inquiry and Research Award. The Award recognises leadership and gives a member or a group of members the opportunity to pursue a study, activity or project in an area designated as a priority for SAPPA.

A litte bit about the association:

The South Australian Primary Principals Association Inc. - SAPPA - exists to promote, support and influence primary education and the leadership of primary education in South Australia.

SAPPA is a recognised and respected authority on educational issues, leading the community as a distinct voice in the vital area of primary education.

There are currently 640 members from more than 470 primary school sites throughout South Australia. All are highly respected leaders, managers and members of their communities who value the strength, professional development and support provided by their professional body. Members share many characteristics. Typically they are good networkers, intelligent decision makers and respected sources of information.

SAPPA Executive comprising an elected President, 15 elected members, the Immediate Past-President and a Business Manager is charged with the responsibility of leading and managing the organisation. The tenure for elected officers is two years.

Many members are actively involved in the work of SAPPA through their participation in Portfolio Groups.

All members follow a strict code of ethics and share a common purpose to enhance the educational outcomes of all students.
